Les centres de recherches agronomiques de Gand étaient l'homologue néerlandophone des centres établis précédemment à [[Centre wallon de recherches agronomiques de Gembloux| Gembloux]], en Wallonie. Chacune des nouvelles stations de Gand a repris un certain nombre de composantes de recherche établies de l'institution sœur de Gembloux.
