Call for Papers: Young Researchers Days
Les 15 et 16 décembre auront lieu, à nouveau, les journées biennales des Young Researchers Days in Logic, Philosophy and History of Science, cette fois à la KU Leuven. Le thème central cette année est la (dé)confiance dans la science et l’importance de la communication scientifique. Ce thème sera étudié et discuté de manière interdisciplinaire par des philosophes et des historiens. La nouvelle plateforme Bestor y sera également présentée. La date limite pour soumettre un résumé est fixée au 1er octobre. Plus d’informations via le lien.

La revue Journal for the History of Knowledge cherche un nouveau co-rédacteur en chef ! Elle est une revue internationale, Diamond Open Access and peer-reviewed, consacrée à l'histoire du savoir au sens large. Elle accueille les candidatures de personnes issues d'un établissement universitaire belge ou néerlandais qui ont une affinité marquée pour l'histoire du savoir ou un domaine similaire. Le 16 août 1925, le botaniste belge Jean Baptiste Massart décède. Pionnier du travail de terrain en biologie en Belgique, il ne limita pas ses recherches aux frontières nationales : il entreprit également des voyages scientifiques, notamment au Sahara et à Java. Massart joua en outre un rôle de précurseur dans le domaine de la conservation de la nature. Dès 1912, il fonda une ligue pour la protection de la nature. Après la Première Guerre mondiale, il porta son attention sur la restauration écologique de la région de l’Yser. Il créa également, pour l’Université libre de Bruxelles, un jardin expérimental dans la forêt de Soignes. Pour en savoir plus, cliquez sur le lien suivant.
