Bestor respects the privacy of its visitors. Personal data shall be processed in accordance with the requirements of the data protection legislation. CLICKING BEHAVIOUR AND VISITOR DATA Bestor collects general visitor data for statistical purposes. This means that in particular your computer's IP address, the time of request and data sent by a visitor's browser are recorded and used for statistical analyses of visiting and clicking behaviour on the website. These data are not linked to a person's name. They are also processed in bulk and are thus anonymised. Your visit data will not be passed on to third parties. GOOGLE ANALYTICS We use Google Analytics to analyse this data. This tool allows us to gauge how visitor numbers evolve, how users interact with Bestor and how effective various promotional efforts are. This allows us to respond more precisely to the interests of our readership as a whole and to present quantitative results to our subsidy provider(s). The information generated in this way, including your IP address, is stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google Analytics undertakes to delete user data after a specific period of time. NEWSLETTER AND CORRESPONDENCE Bestor offers a newsletter through the marketing automation platform Mailchimp to inform interested readers about historical science facts. Your email address will only be added to the list of subscribers with your explicit permission. Every newsletter contains a link by which you can unsubscribe. The newsletter's membership file is not shared with third parties. If you send an email to bestor@rasab.be, the data you send us will be stored as long as necessary for the complete processing of your email. INSPECTION AND CORRECTION If you have a relationship with our organisation, you have the possibility to inspect your personal data after a written request. If the overview provided by us contains inaccuracies, you can request us in writing to change or remove the data.
