Het Nationaal Comité voor Antarctisch Onderzoek is een samenwerking tussen the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) en de Belgische wetenschappers die in het domein van het Antarctisch Onderzoek werken. Jacques Van Mieghem was medeoprichter van dit comité.
