The Sarton Centre's HSHH network is organizing a workshop in Ghent on 21 and 22 May 2026. The venue is the Warmkamer of Sint-Pietersabdij.

This workshop explores how the sciences and humanities share overlapping practices of history-making. Rather than reinforcing the "two cultures" divide, it examines how scholars across disciplines have used historical methods to construct pasts, establish credit, and produce facts. By focusing on these shared knowledge practices, it aims to uncover the intertwined history of "hard" and "soft" sciences and their soft boundaries.
