To mark the bicentenary of the Royal Observatory of Belgium, a wide range of activities are taking place throughout the year. As part of these celebrations, a morning of lectures in Dutch will be held on 16 November 2026 at the Rubens Auditorium of the Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts (KVAB). The programme features eight lectures, including contributions by Eliane Van den Ende and Geert Vanpaemel, honorary member and former chair of the Belgian National Committee for Logic, History and Philosophy of Science. Discover the history and evolution of scientific research at the Royal Observatory of Belgium, from its beginnings to the present day. The symposium is free to attend, but registration via this link is mandatory.
