Over the past year, Bestor has contributed to Visual Name Authority project by Meemoo, the Flemish Institute for Archives, with the aim of integrating the person data from our database into this controlled list of personal names, enriched with portrait photographs. In doing so, we help organisations improve the quality of their data and collection records, including through the use of artificial intelligence (AI). In addition, some of the data will be made publicly accessible via a new landing page and on Wikidata! Next week, the project will be officially presented at the Industriemuseum in Ghent.
