The Music, Sound & Imagination exhibition is organised by Belspo in collaboration with the Federal Scientific Institutes, including the Royal Observatory of Belgium, the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, and the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel. For this occasion, the Royal Observatory of Belgium has partnered with the AstroSounds project to introduce visitors to the “sounds” of stars. AstroSounds is a citizen science project in which volunteers analyse stellar light spectra that have been converted into sound. Visitors can also discover other sounds related to the Observatory’s activities. The mini podcast, which is also available online, takes listeners behind the scenes of the laboratories for a day and offers a glimpse into the daily work of the scientists.
